Rapper The Game Sends Los Angeles Fans On City-Wide ‘Jesus Piece’ Scavenger Hunt

These Compton-bred rappers sure are getting into the holiday spirit and are hitting home runs when it comes to giving back to their fans.  First, Kendrick Lamar threw an impromptu free concert on top of a double decker bus outside of Staples Center the evening before releasing his debut album Good kid m.A.A.d city, and on Thursday the cleverness continued when rapper The Game sent his Instagram followers on a scavenger hunt throughout Los Angeles to yank the first copies of his fifth studio album Jesus Piece, which will be released December 11th.

The rapper started off in Lakewood, posting:

I’m in the streets wit a box of #JesusPiece albums…… Giving them all away in random places in Los Angeles today…. 1ST STOP: I’m in the Lakewood Mall inside California Pizza Kitchen….. The 1st person that shows up & ask for #JesusPiece will get the album & a picture….. (The next location will be posted on @preorderjesuspiece after I leave each location) so FOLLOW @preorderjesuspiece NOW !!!!!! You have 15 minutes to get to the California Pizza Kitchen at Lakewood Mall or I’m gone !!!!! #jesuspiece

Throughout the day he made his way to several random locations and ended up at Mens Land inside The Fox Hills Malls where he posted,

I’m at Mens Land in Fox Hills now with the last #JesusPiece for today….. You got 10 minutes to get here or I’m audi 5,000 !!! My sons not feeling too well so i gotta go check on him !!!!! Follow @preorderjesuspiece for tomorrow’s locations….. Thank everyone who came out today….

One fan ended up with a pair of Jordans for getting to the mall within 3 minutes and being “cool”.

Good to see some artist taking it back to the old skool.  Yo Game!  Can we get a copy?
