Powerful! Dozens of Staffers Walk Out Of Congress Over Police Killings

On Thursday afternoon, dozens of congressional staffers walked out in protest of the recent grand jury decisions failing to indict the two officers who killed Eric Garner and Michael Brown. The result was an incredible display of solidarity, with staffers raising their hands in the air to invoke Brown’s “hands up, don’t shoot” image. See the photos below:

Rapper Killer Mike Pens Powerful Op-Ed About Abusive Cops And Ferguson’s Unrest: “Whatever This Country Is Willing To Do To The Least Of Us, It Will One Day Do To Us All”

killer mikeLast week, Killer Mike published a short essay to Instagram begging for humanity in the wake of the death of Missouri teenager Michael Brown. Today, conflict and protest in the town of Ferguson, Missouri wages on and the Atlanta-based Run the Jewels rapper has again taken up the pen to address this situation.
