Remember back in 2008, when Lil Wayne almost signed with Jay Z?
If his tweets are real, he may be regretting he didn’t go through with that move. Today, the Young Money rapper took to Twitter to express his disgust with his label who he says is holding up the release of his album, Tha Carter V. He also said that he wants out.
“To all my fans, I want u to know that my album won’t and hasn’t been released bekuz Baby & Cash Money Rec. refuse to release it. This is not my fault. I am truly and deeply sorry to all my fans but most of all to myself and my family for putting us in this situation. I want off this label and nothing to do with these people but unfortunately it ain’t that easy. I am a prisoner and so is my creativity. Again, I am truly sorry and I don’t blame ya if ya fed up with waiting 4 me & this album. But thk u.”
He later tweeted:
Meanwhile rapper Pusha T took the opportunity to do a little recruiting, telling Wayne to head over to G.O.O.D. Music is he doesn’t want the hassle.
Kanye West has been all over the airwaves lately. With each stop on hisYeezus Tour, West has stopped by local radio giving in-depth and passionate interviews about his music and hunger to do more in the fashion world. He touched on all of those things — and more — during his interview with MTV News’ Sway Calloway on Tuesday (November 26). But things got a lot more heated.
The “Sway in the Morning” interview, broadcast live on SiriusXM’s Shade 45, started off with ‘Ye talking about his creative aspirations in both music and fashion. But after Sway asked about Yeezy’s need for corporate support, things took a sudden turn.
“Why don’t you empower yourself and don’t need them and do it yourself?” Sway asked.
“How Sway?” Kanye barked. “You ain’t got the answers, man; you ain’t got the answers. I’ve been doing this more than you; you ain’t got the answers.”
Tell us how you really feel Kanye! Before you go back to the “N*ggas in Paris” work on your freestyle skills. We are sure Pusha T would lend you a helping hand.
Now that Teyana Taylor has signed to G.O.O.D. Music, the paps can’t get enough. The 21-year-old singer was spotted making her way through West Hollywood on Friday. While it may have been her talent that landed her a deal with Kanye West’s label, Teyana proved that she’s the whole package, proudly displaying her toned abs and chest in a midriff-baring top, with a necklace that read “F**k You.”
Teyana just released the video for “Bad Boy” off her EP The Misunderstanding of Teyana Taylor and is readying her G.O.O.D. Music/Island Def Jam debut for later this year.

Jay-Z and Kanye West give us a taste of their highly-anticipated album Watch the Throne with the soulful “Otis,” one of the Kanye-produced cuts featuring a sample of the legendary Otis Redding’s “Try a Little Tenderness.”
The hip-hop kings go back and forth flaunting their royal lifestyle on the hookless track. “I invented swag,” brags Hov, while ‘Ye proclaims, “I made Jesus walk so I’m never going to hell.”..
Tell us what you think??
Kanye West doesn’t do anything halfway, whether it’s interrupting Taylor Swift or calling out former President George W. Bush on national television.
Now he’s angry about a leak of his song “Mama’s Boy” that he says is unsanctioned. If he finds out who did it, there will be legal action.
Island Def Jam released a statement saying a version of the song that turned up online is not approved by West; someone obtained a vocal track and made the version that appeared online. “Needless to say, measures are being taken to identify and prosecute the persons responsible for leaking this material,” reads the statement.
The full statement:
“The version of the Kanye West recording ‘Mama’s Boy’ that arrived on blog sites earlier this week is entirely bogus and unsanctioned, and violates the artist’s creative intentions. As is often the unfortunate case, an unknown party or parties got a hold of Kanye West’s vocal track and added their own soundbed to it, effectively and falsely releasing it as a Kanye West track from the ‘My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy’ sessions. The result in no way resembles the final song Kanye West intended his fans to hear, and he is deeply disappointed that one of the most personal, meaningful and special songs he has ever written would reach people in this way. Needless to say, measures are being taken to identify and prosecute the persons responsible for leaking this material.”
