After being cast as Jay Z’s mistress in several tabloid stories, the rapper known only as Liv has come forward with her take on Jay’s infidelity in a song called “Sorry Mrs. Carter,” a song disputing the allegations but still apologizing to Beyoncé. It remains somewhat unclear what exactly she’s apologizing to Beyoncé for. Not sleeping with her husband? Jay Z’s supposed bad behavior with other women?
In the less-than-four-minute song that samples Outkast’s “Sorry Ms. Jackson,” Liv switches messages several times, all the while fitting in as many Bey/Jay song references as she can squeeze in. There’s also an Aretha Franklin “Respect” reference.
Bey and Jay’s rumored divorce is perhaps the biggest gossip story of the year, and it sounds to us like Liv is trying to capitalize off of it.
Liv, girl. You need to be apologizing for this song’s quality, because this is beyond horrible. You couldn’t be that cool with Jay Z and put out a song this bad. We would’ve believed you if you said you were Lil’ Scrappy’s sidepiece, but Jay? This blatantly disrespectful!
These THOTs don’t know how to stay in their lane!
After more than two years behind bars on deportation-related charges, former hip-hop groupie Kat Stacks was given a deportation reprieve Wednesday, making her a free woman.
When she got out, Stacks immediately took to her Twitter (@AdmireAndrea) posting, “Twitter looks so different since 2010!”
In its decision, the appeals board ruled that “Kat Stacks persona is disturbing and in no way a positive contribution to society.”
But, it also concluded that “other compelling factors, particularly her long history of abuse, outweigh the negative factors.” Continue reading
In the latest edition of “The Ratchet Files”, former New York Giants running back Tiki Barber, 37, married his
mistress girlfriend, Traci Lynn Johnson, 23, just 8 days after the divorce from his wife Ginny of 11 years was finalized.
Barber discarded his then-wife in 2010 while she was eight months pregnant with their twins for Johnson, a Maxim model and former NBC intern while he was working on the “Today Show”
“It’s a great day,” a beaming Tiki said on the way in. “We’re finally getting married.”
The two were originally planning to get married May 12th in the Hamptons but the wedding had to be called off because Barber’s divorce had yet to be finalized.
This past Thursday, 8 days after his divorce was final the two exchanged their “I Do’s” at the City Clerk’s office accompanied by a few of the couples close friends and family along with Barber’s twin brother Ronde.
We’re sure it won’t be long before this marriage is a wrap. If he left his wife while she was 8 months pregnant with twins, there no telling what he will do to you. But please don’t break out the tears when he drops you for the next hot chick because you will get no sympathy around here.
Although we had to miss Monday’s episode of Love & Hip-Hop due to the Direct TV/Viacom squabble that’s going on (did we mention we hate them both right now?), we saw Twitter going nuts about cast member Joseline Hernandez. Apparently she’s still a hot mess (although – we’ll have to watch it for ourselves to be the judge). Our folks over at Global Grind got the opportunity to catch up with her. Pop the hood to check out a few excerpts from her interview–including why she still loves her some Stevie J. (or as she calls him even in her tweets now, Steebie):
How did you link up with Stevie J?
I met Stevie J at the strip club when I used to dance. And I also knew that I wanted to do music, that I wanted to be a rapper. I wanted to be a singer. I wanted to be an actress. I also knew that and I met him through a friend of his and mine. We spoke. Then a couple of days after, I met him again at the studio, through another friend of mine that was trying to get in the business, and he said, ‘well, I think you should get in the business.’ I was like: ‘I always wanted to get into the business and sing and dance and do everything like this, but I always got fast money in the strip club,’ so I wasn’t really taking my career like I am now. Ever since then, we started working together, and here we are now.
What’s the most surprising thing about Stevie J that Love & Hip-Hop doesn’t show?
Stevie is a ladies’ man. What’s wrong with that? As bad as they talk about him, and he’s this and he’s that, every woman will let Stevie J play them, too. To me it’s a joke. Stevie, he loves all women. He loves women! There’s nothing wrong with that. If I was a man, I would love them too. Believe me. I’m not a man, and I love them, so I can just imagine if I was. He just loves women. But, Stevie’s a good person. To me, he’s a sweetheart. He doesn’t show me anything but being a gentleman. He can be an ass, but that’s everyone. He’s a sweetheart. A lot of people don’t know that about him. Oh, and another thing, he knows how to cook really, really, really good. Continue reading
