Philip Seymour Hoffman was found dead Sunday in a New York City apartment of an apparent drug overdose … TMZ has learned authorities found a needle in his arm.
Law enforcement sources tell TMZ … the actor was found Sunday morning inside a Greenwich apartment … and they’re still on scene investigating.
Law enforcement sources tell TMZ … an assistant found the actor alone in the apartment — he hadn’t heard from Hoffman and was checking up on him.
Details surrounding his death are unclear … but the actor had struggled with drug problems … most recently checking himself into a rehab facility for heroin back in May. The New York Post is reporting heroin was found in the apt and Hoffman was on the bathroom floor in his underwear when he was found.
TMZ broke the story of Hoffman going to rehab. We were told he did it as a preventative measure because he was getting close to a major relapse. A source involved in Hoffman’s treatment now tells TMZ … the actor said at the time he was on the brink of become a heroin IV user and wanted to nip it in the bud before that happened.
RIP to Philip Seymour to his family & friends.
Ludacris is in no hurry to meet his new baby daughter … it’s been nearly a month since the girl was born, and his baby mama says the rapper still hasn’t dropped by to take a look.
According to TMZ
Tamika Fuller just posted a long message on Instagram, writing, “She has yet to meet her father and it’s unfortunate because I would never keep him from seeing her.”
She also addresses the back and forth in court regarding Ludacris’ ability to pay child support, insisting she’s not looking for a handout. “It saddens me that it has come to this. I did not file on him. Nor would I ever try to attempt to extort my child’s father.”
She adds, “In spite of all that has already happened I just ask that the negativity stop towards him and I. We have a child to co-parent … Her best interests come before any of all of this foolishness.”
As we reported, Ludacris — a multi-millionaire — has filed legal docs saying he can only afford to pay $1,744 per month in child support.
We are under the impression that Luda is thinking “Move B*tch get out the way”

Before The Real Housewives of Atlanta star NeNe Leakes got her big break, she was bumping and grinding on stripper poles as an exotic dancer — and she’s sharing new details about her past time!
The reality star sat down for a new tell-all interview with E!’s Giuliana Rancic and opened up about her pole dancing past.
“I remember going home and having something like $1,000 and thinking ‘I made $1,000 in one night. Baby we are doing this tomorrow night,’” she recalled of those days.
She explained that she’d just gotten out of an abusive relationship with an ex and was looking for quick cash to support her family because she had no job or money at the time.
She answered an advertisement in a newspaper and was hired on spot with no prior dancing experience. Leakes ended up working as a stripper for three years, under the name “Silk,” when she was a 23-year-old single mom.
“It became an addiction,” she revealed. “I thought I made pretty good money. It was a great hustle.”
She eventually met her husband Gregg Leakes, who convinced her to stop dancing. Although she quit, she doesn’t regret her stripper past.
“I feel like strength comes from within. And…experience makes you strong. And I’ve been through so many things in my life and those things have taught me,” she said. “I’m one of those girls, every experience, I learned from my experience.”
Before she hit the big time…The hair though!
George Zimmerman, the man whose acquittal on murder and manslaughter charges in the fatal shooting of Trayvon Martin set off a wave of protests across the nation, helped rescue a family from an overturned SUV four days after the verdict, the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement on monday.
The statement said that on Wednesday, at approximately 5:45 p.m. ET, the sheriff’s office responded to a single car accident at an intersection in the Sanford, Fla., area not far from where Zimmerman, 29, shot Trayvon, 17, in February 2012. The statement said a blue Ford Explorer had run off the road and rolled over with a family of four inside.
When a deputy arrived at the scene, two men had already helped the family out of the SUV. One of the men was Zimmerman, a former neighborhood watch coordinator in Sanford.
“Zimmerman was not a witness to the crash and left after making contact with the deputy,” the statement said. There were no reports of injuries, it said.
A jury of six women acquitted Zimmerman, who pleaded self-defense, of second-degree murder and manslaughter charges July 13. That set off protests across the nation, highlighted by “Justice for Trayvon” rallies held Saturday in more than 100 cities.
