Even though the visuals for Kells song ‘Happy Birthday’ celebrate the R&B star turning one year older, the viewers are the ones who are actually receiving the gift because it’s straight eye-candy for anyone who loves a pretty girl.
Apparently, a huge bash occurs and we join the festivities the morning after, where Kells is sleeping amongst a host of gorgeous women — they all look like they had the time of their lives.
From there, things go ‘The Hangover’ route since no one seems to remember what happened the night before. Lucky for Kelly, one of the girls tells him everything was recorded on his smartphone and that’s when the action really begins.
Strip clubs, a shopping spree and an out-of-town-trip are just some of the activities enjoyed by the Pied Piper and the lovely ladies. Not to mention the bottles of expensive liquor and cigars that flow freely.
The Chicago native’s actual birthday was on Jan. 8, when he turned 48.

Chris Brown’s long-awaited sixth album, X, is on the way. After announcing its Sept. 16 release date, Breezy now drops the album’s promising tracklist. In addition to singles “Loyal” and “New Flame,” X includes collaborations with R. Kelly (“Drown In It”) and Akon (“Came To Do”). The singer will release a 17-track standard edition as well as a 21-track deluxe version.
The album also includes a collaboration Brown noted last year: a track titled “Autumn Leaves” featuring Kendrick Lamar.

After two bands and a radio sponsor pull out R. Kelly is dropped as the headliner of an Ohio music festival.
According to our friends over at Rhymes With Snitch:
Columbus, Ohio’s Fashion Meets Music Festival axed R. Kelly from the line-up after local bands Damn the Witch Siren, Saintseneca and radio station WCBE 90.5 FM pulled out of the music fest citing R Kelly’s reputation as a sexual predator.
In a strongly worded statement to the media Saintseneca explained,
“We feel R. Kelly’s selection as a performer ignores his very serious allegations of sexual violence and assault. “We feel it is an affront to all survivors, who are already often overlooked and forgotten in our society.”
Saintseneca also announced plans to perform at a benefit concert for survivors of sexual abuse on the same day as the music festival.
Add that with the growing backlash on social media and R. Kelly was out.
Event organizers said in a statement released today,
“We wanted to make sure we heard the Columbus listeners… to make a statement and support the city we live in.”
Well at least now all middle schools and HS don’t have to close on that day..
Via Rhymes With Snitch:
R. Kelly is accused in court papers filed Thursday by his ex-wife Andrea Kelly of failing to pay $20,833 a month in child support he owes. The claim comes after he reportedly fell behind more than $100,000 in payments last year, but then paid the debt off.
Kelly’s trouble doesn’t end there: One of his attorneys has told Kelly’s camp that if the singer doesn’t appear at a March 27 hearing in his child- custody battle in Chicago, a judge could give him 30 days to six months behind bars because Kelly didn’t show up at a November hearing.
“The judge was clear in November that he wasn’t happy R. Kelly didn’t show up,” said a source. “His lawyer is worried the judge could lock Kelly up if he doesn’t show this time, but he can’t reach his client.”
According to reports Kells owes a lot of people money from his last album and has been ‘unreachable’ for weeks.
One week following the release of his 12th solo studio LP, “Black Panties,” R. Kelly’s past sexual assault allegations have resurfaced via an article from The Village Voice.
And although the story detailing the singer’s various accusations of relationships with underage girls has made its rounds on the web and received a great deal of attention, R. Kelly seems to be unscathed by it.
Kelly responded to the story and those who are retracting his controversial past on Monday during a radio interview with our boy Big Tigger on Atlanta’s V-103 saying
“Well I feel like I got the football, man, I’m running towards the touchdown and stopping and looking back, mess around, I’ll get tackled,” he said. “And I also want my fans and everybody out there to know that I really appreciate everybody’s support from the very beginning of my career. But as you know, when you get on top of anything, it’s very windy up there.”
“It’s not just about getting on top, it’s about holding your balance once you get up there…You have to be spiritually a climber. So I feel good about ‘Black Panties’… As long as I got my fans screaming my name around the world and buying my records, and supporting R. Kelly, everybody who doesn’t agree with it should listen to the last song on ‘Black Panties’ [‘Shut Up’].”
