This Grammy nominated singer/songwriter has a list of credits that include Rihanna, Katy Perry and Alicia Keys, just to name a few. Now she rocks the airwaves with her latest single “Hell Yeah” featuring Rick Ross, where she paints a vivid picture of the current state of society and shares her hopes for a brighter future.
Ross definitely adds his signature flow to the track. But in comparison to the powerful message in the song, the content didn’t add up. But I guess it’s hard when the majority of his other joints attribute to the current state of society.
Great song…maybe shoot for a remix with K Dot, Black Thought, Common or Talib.
Way back when – 1998 to be exact – established underground Hip-Hop sensations Mos Def and Talib Kweli teamed up to record the collaborative record Mos Def And Talib Kweli Are Black Star.

The standard edition features appearances from Chris Brown and Plies (“Long Gone”), T.I. (“She’s So Fly”), Keri Hilson (“Liv Tonight”), and more, with the rapper reuniting with Kelly Rowland for “Gone”.
